Special Exhibitions and other events

We have various events and exhibitions throughout the year. Most of them have at the core some link with Rai Sanyo, his works or his family. It is also well-known that Shunsui, Sanyo's father placed special emphasis on annual events and carrying them out all right.

PROFOUND BEAUTY OF MODERN JAPANESE SWORDS July 16th to August 28th, 2016

* Major swordsmiths that Hiroshima produced exhibit the finest works of art they have confident in. Do not miss the chance to watch the detailed pattern on the blades and also the decorative blade carvings and sword fittings, such as Tsuba (handguard), Kozuka(accessory knife), Menuki (hilt ornaments), Kogai (hair pick accessory).
* The dates are from July 16th to August 28th, except on Mondays
* Open from 9:30 am to 5 pm. The gate is closed at 4:30 pm.
* Admission fees: 300 yen for adults, 240 yen for seniors older than 64, and 150 yen for students.
