Hiroshima Prefecture and HOPe are actively working toward nuclear weapons abolition in collaboration with global research institutions. We explore new models of national security that do not rely on nuclear deterrence. This activity includes conducting surveys and research and publishing reports on the status of nuclear disarmament efforts in various countries.

Research Project on Security without Reliance on Nuclear Deterrence

We are pursuing security that does not depend on nuclear deterrence, aiming to move away from security policies reliant on nuclear weapons and promote nuclear disarmament.
Together with researchers from Japan and abroad, we study and propose alternative security models.
