What is the Future Leaders’ Program for Global Peace?
As one of the initiatives in the Hiroshima for Global Peace Plan, this program enables high school students to take the first step toward building their future and empowers them to become individuals who will aspire for global peace and can operate on an international level, by teaching them English and basic international relations such as nuclear disarmament and conflict resolution.

Course Overview:
【Lecture on International Peace】
Students will acquire knowledge regarding the current state of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation, the destruction and reconstruction following the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, the current state and causes of regional conflicts, in addition to the political, economic, and social frameworks for advancing reconstruction and peacebuilding. This will deepen their learning about international issues.
【English Practice】
Through speech and discussion exercises and vocabulary enhancement, we aim to improve English proficiency by focusing on themes such as the United Nations Charter, speeches that have made history, and international peace issues (nuclear weapons, conflicts, etc.).

Overview: As the culmination of English practice, we will engage in activities such as interacting with local high school students in English.
