Mosaic Art Exhibition at Kawashimo Junior High School Cultural Festival
Second-year students from the Kawashimo Junior High School in Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, created a mosaic mural using images from the “80th Remembrance of Hiroshima Special Website.”
This mosaic art was unveiled at the cultural festival opening of the school on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
We are pleased to have shared the message regarding the 80th commemoration of the bombing and the end of the war with the attendees.

The Peace Memorial Park attracts visitors from around the world. Here, we introduce the activities of Sasaki Shun, an elementary school student who uses fluent English to convey the importance of peace.
Shun first became interested in the Peace Memorial Park when he was in the first grade of elementary school.

The presence of successors who transmit the experiences of A-bomb survivors and their desire for peace to new generations
Did you know about the efforts of "A-bomb Legacy Successors" and "Hibakusha Family Member Legacy Successors" who pass down the stories and wishes for peace of A-bomb survivors to future generations?
As part of Hiroshima City's training program, 2023 marked the first year that family member successors were officially recognized. Among them, we share the story of Mr. Ogata Kento, who was the youngest family successor at the time.
