Hiroshima Prefecture and the Hiroshima Organization for Global Peace (HOPe) will undertake various initiatives, marking this year, the 80th year of the atomic bombing and the end of World War II, as a turning point to accelerate efforts towards the abolition of nuclear weapons.
Under the two major projects "Project to Bring Global Leaders Together to Discuss the Future and Peace" and "Project to Bring Youth Together to Connect Peace to the Future," a variety of initiatives will be implemented to commemorate the 80th year of the atomic bombing and the end of the war.
