What is the Citizens Council for the Hiroshima Summit?

In May 2023, the G7 summit (Summit of Major Industrialized Nations) will be held in Hiroshima. At the Summit, the G7 leaders, the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission will exchange frank views on various global issues, such as the world economy and regional situations.

For the success of the G7 Hiroshima Summit, Hiroshima Prefecture, the City of Hiroshima and related organizations in fields such as economy, transportation, and medical care have launched the Citizens Council for the Hiroshima Summit. In addition to providing local support to the event, we would like to disseminate our wish for peace and the charms of Hiroshima. We hope that these efforts realized through prefecture-wide cooperation will lead to the success of the G7 Hiroshima Summit. At the same time, we aim to make the Summit participants and related parties feel glad to have visited Hiroshima while making the residents of the City of Hiroshima and Hiroshima Prefecture, who will welcome the visitors, feel pleased that the Summit has been held in Hiroshima.

This website provides the latest information on the activities of the Citizens Council for the Hiroshima Summit and the G7 Hiroshima Summit.
