Barbara Reynolds came to Hiroshima in 1951 with her husband, Earle Reynolds, and her children. Earle had been sent as part of a U.S. study team to the Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission (ABCC), now the R.E.R.F., charged with examining children exposed to radiation.
