Paper cranes carefully folded one by one, wishing for peace. Paper cranes are known as a symbol of peace around the world, originating from the story of Sadako Sasaki, who fought against leukemia caused by the atomic bombing. She folded paper cranes while being hospitalized, wishing for her recovery. This story has spread around the world, and even today, various paper cranes are delivered to the Peace Memorial Park from various countries, and are put on.
