Message from Nikhil Seth(United Nations Assistant Secretary-General,Executive Director, UNITAR)
As the seventy fifth anniversary the day that changed Hiroshima and the world forever, is upon us, the name Hiroshima often still brings to mind the darkest aspects of humanity, but for us, who have visited and met its people, in particular those citizens who survived and continue to bear witness, the hibakusha; Hiroshima symbolizes the best of humanity – resilience, determination, courage, forgiveness, and rebirth. I can only offer my humble respect to the people of Hiroshima for this transformation.
