The three-story pagoda was built in the early Muromachi period (1333-1573), and is designated as a National Treasure for its outstanding architectural style.
The three-story pagoda was completed in the 4th year of the Eternal Era, thanks to the efforts of Nobumoto and Nobumasa Kobayakawa. The structure is a three-story pagoda with a three-layered roof of hon-gawara (brick), measuring 19 meters 52 centimeters to the top of the ninth ring. The overall design is based on the Japanese style, but incorporates the Chinese style. It is the most beautiful of the three-story pagodas designated as National Treasures, and its details are worth paying attention to.
