This is a museum about the Holocaust located on the outskirts of Fukuyama City. The museum is a peace education center with a recreation of Anne Frank's hideout room and exhibits focusing on the 1.5 million children who were victims of the Holocaust (persecution of the Jews).
The entire architecture is composed of two exhibition room cubes that are divided into two separate rooms, and the intention is to flood the void between the two rooms with people's activities. The concrete finish of the floor and the steel plates on the walls, materials that retain the texture of hands, allow visitors to feel the subtle shades of light. Various circles of various sizes incorporate 1.5 million children as a motif.
The museum is a memorial where children who visit can connect peace to the future through the facts of the past.
