Built on a hillside in the suburbs of Miyoshi City, this art museum houses and exhibits the works of Japanese painter Okuda Genso and dollmaker Okuda Sayumi. While taking advantage of the site's shape, the architecture minimizes the impact on the surrounding landscape. A vast basin of water at the center of the museum reflects the sky and embodies a part of the spirit that the painters intended to portray. On days of the full moon, the museum's hours are extended and various events are held.
